QuickBooks 2018 Desktop products from Intuit include several new enhancements. You should consider upgrading your QuickBooks if any of these would be beneficial to you or if you are using QuickBooks 2015 or older. Intuit will stop supporting QuickBooks 2015 as of May 31, 2018.
New Features and Improvements in QuickBooks 2018
Multi-Monitor Modes – QuickBooks now supports the use of up to 3 monitors to have various informational components easily accessible all at the same time.
Consolidation of Vendors – Manage vendors by merging up to 4 duplicate vendors at a time. Requires QuickBooks Enterprise or Accountant Edition. QuickBooks Pro and Premier allow merging 2 vendors at a time.
Reminder for Tax and Payroll – With the “Enhanced Payroll” subscription, you have a new reminder tool to ensure that you file your taxes and run payroll on time.
Advance Search in Chart of Accounts – Quickly find and account or sub-account using partial names or partial account numbers in the new search bar on the Chart of Accounts.
Quick Toggle between Cash and Accrual Basis on Reports – Switch between cash and accrual based reports faster than ever before. No need to open the “Customize Report” screen.
Past Due Stamp – Automatically include a “Past Due” stamp on invoices you send from QuickBooks.
Mobile Barcode Scanning for Inventory – Create customer picklists across warehouses and send to barcode scanners; Workers can scan inventory and updates sales orders in real-time. (Requires QuickBooks Enterprise Edition)
