The latest version of Timeslips comes equipped with a range of new features that improve the software’s slip entry functionality, time capture capabilities, and general organization of data.

The following is a list of specific features that are available in Timeslips 2014:

  • Added ability to limit the slip list to display the last XX number of slips, when “View by” is set to ID.
  • There are 6 themes for the slip list (pre-defined slip list settings).
  • Sort slip list by any column.
  • Type search on the slip list.
  • The user can no longer drag the toolbar off the form.
  • Description field changes size based on the size of the window.  White + and – buttons are gone.
  • Buttons on toolbar to access slip list preferences –
    • Paste slip descriptions as plain text.
    • Control where the cursor is placed when opening the slip list.  Tab and position.
    • Choose to hide slips that you do not have security rights to view.
    • Set the default timekeeper to be the “Logged in Timekeeper.”
  • List Appearance Options –
    • Ability to hide the slip description and slip totals section on the bottom of the slip list.
    • Ability to show the slip count in the slip list totals section.
    • Show the slip list total hours field as decimal or hours/minutes.
  • TimeCapture Replaces TSTimer –
    • Ability to ignore certain applications and set rules on how entries are named and grouped.
    • TimeCapture stores data locally.  Create slips often in order to get them into the Timeslips database.
    • TimeCapture allows the user to save a copy of the data files to another location as a safety net in slips will not be created for extended period of time.
    • Search for slips created via the TimeCapture within Timeslips using the Slip Source = TimeCapture.
    • Ability to delete entries, make rules to help organize work done into groups, consolidate items into one entry and ignore specific applications or websites.
